#Mir Hossein Mousavi “The Greatness of a Nation is Being Categorically Denied”

They ask us to forget the issue of the election results as though it is the election per se that our people are concerned with. How do we explain that it isn’t so? What people take issue with is not whether one individual is in power and another is not, but rather that a great nation is being treated with such blatant arrogance. What infuriates people the most, leading them to react, is the categorical manner in which their magnanimity and greatness is being denied.

از ما می‌خواهند که مسئله انتخابات را فراموش کنیم، گویی مسئله مردم انتخابات است. چگونه توضیح دهیم که چنین نیست؟ مسئله مردم قطعا این نیست که فلانی باشد و فلانی نباشد؛ مسئله‌ آنها این است که به یک ملت بزرگ بزرگی فروخته می‌‌شود. آن چیزی که مردم را عصبانی می‌کند و به واکنش وا می‌دارد آن است که به صریح‌ترین لهجه بزرگی آنان انکار می‌شود.
