#Mousavi Condemns Closure of Newspapers and Threatening of Journalists | Excerpt Statement # 17
Assuming you succeed in silencing the entire nation for a few days through arrests, violence, threats and the closure of tens of newspapers and media outlets, how will you address the change in the nation’s view of the ruling establishment? How will you compensate for the lack of legitimacy of the entire system of government? How do you propose to change the surprise and reproach felt by the international community towards the brutalities and violence [our] government has perpetrated against its own people? How will you resolve the ever increasing economic challenges facing our nation and the financial hardships facing our citizens as a result of the government’s persistent incompetence? With what competencies and skill sets, what level of national unity and what effective foreign policy measures do you intend to protect our country from the threats of international resolutions and the demands for further concessions by the international community?

March 24th, 2013 – Kaleme reports on the simultaneous raid of the two wards holding political prisoners at Evin prison, namely the female ward and the general ward 350 assigned to male political prisoners, on the eve of Persian New Year, Norooz.
On Monday March 18th, 2013, both the female and male wards holding political prisoners at Evin prison were thoroughly inspected in a simultaneous raid by a prison guards. As with similar, unexpected and often offensive raids in the past, according to accounts by political prisoners currently at Evin prison, the political prisoners protested the raid by singing [national and revolutionary songs] such as “Ey Iran”, ” Sar Oomad Zemestoon” and “Yare Dabestani” and chanting slogans such as “long live Mousavi and Karroubi”, ” death to the oppressor, whether it be the late king or the Supreme Leader”, “death to the dictator”, “Mousavi reclaim our votes!” and “Ya Hossein… Mir Hossein” resonated inside the wards.
During the past three years both the female ward and the general ward 350 housing male political prisoners at Evin have undergone several unexpected raids resulting in the violation of the personal privacy of prisoners, the disruption of their daily lives and stricter security measures. The political prisoners have strongly condemned such raids and in November of last year, one such raid on the female ward led to female political prisoners launching a hunger strike protesting the inappropriate bodily searches and the desecration of their personal space.

بازرسی ناگهانی از بندهای سیاسی زنان و مردان در زندان اوین

چکیده : روز دوشنبه ۲۸ اسفند ماه سال 91، تعدادی از ماموران حفاظت زندان اوین به طور همزمان به بند ۳۵۰ و بند زنان زندان اوین، یعنی دو بند زندانیان سیاسی این زندان، رفته و به بازرسی کلیه بند، پرداختند. …
در آستانه ی سال نو، دو بند زندان اوین که محل نگهداری زندانیان سیاسی در این زندان است توسط ماموران زندان مورد بازرسی قرار گرفت.
به گزارش خبرنگار کلمه، روز دوشنبه ۲۸ اسفند ماه سال ۹۱، تعدادی از ماموران حفاظت زندان اوین به طور همزمان به بند ۳۵۰ و بند زنان زندان اوین، یعنی دو بند زندانیان سیاسی این زندان، رفته و به بازرسی کلیه بند، پرداختند.
بر اساس این گزارش، زندانیان همچون تمامی دفعات گذشته که در این چند سال با بازرسی های ناگهانی و گاهی توهین آمیز روبرو می شوند با مقاومت در برابر ماموران، اقدام به خواندن سرود “ای ایران”، “سر اومد زمستون”، “یار دبستانی” و شعارهای “موسوی زنده باد کروبی پاینده باد”، “مرگ بر ستمگر، چه شاه باشه چه رهبر”، “مرگ بر دیکتاتور”، “موسوی موسوی رای مرا پس بگیر” و “یا حسین میر حسین” کردند.
طی سه سال و اندی گذشته این چندمین بازرسی ناگهانی از بند ٣۵٠ است که ماموران حفاظت با ورود به حریم خصوصی و شخصی زندانیان سیاسی باعث بر هم زدن نظم و سلب آسایش آنان می شوند و فضا هر بار امنیتی تر می شود.
بازرسی هایی که دفعاتی از آن با مقاومت و واکنش های شدید زندانیان سیاسی روبرو شده است و حتی آبان ماه سال جاری زندانیان زن سیاسی که بازرسی بندشان با هتک حرمت و آزار آنها همراه بود، دست به اعتصاب غذای دسته جمعی زدند

They ask us to forget the issue of the election results as though it is the election per se that our people are concerned with. How do we explain that it isn’t so? What people take issue with is not whether one individual is in power and another is not, but rather that a great nation is being treated with such blatant arrogance. #Opposition Leader Mir Hossein Mousavi’s Daughters Granted Visitation with their Parents on the Occasion of Norooz
March 21st, 2013 – Kaleme reports that Zahra, Narges and Kokab Mousavi were allowed to visit with their parents Mir Hossein Mousavi and Zahra Rahnavard yesterday on the occasion of Persian New Year, Norooz.
This latest visit took place under strict security measures following Narges and Kokab Mousavi’s visit with their parents after a four month visitation ban last week. Zahra Mousavi whom to date had been banned from seeing her parents, was also allowed to join her sisters yesterday.
Mousavi and Rahnavard’s daughters described their parents’ general condition as satisfactory, stating that they were both in good spirits.
This is the third consecutive year in which opposition leaders Mir Hossein Mousavi, Mehdi Karroubi and Zahra Rahnavard find themselves under illegal house arrest during the Norooz holidays; this while the ruling establishment continues to deny them a public and unbiased trial and refuses to release them from an illegal house arrest, despite the fact that they have been deprived of the basic rights afforded prisoners under the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

به گزارش کلمه، میرحسین موسوی و زهرا رهنورد دیروز در آغاز سال جدید با دختران خود ملاقات داشتند. یک هفته قبل از این دیدار نوروزی هم دو دختر موسوی پس از چهار ماه ممنوع الملاقاتی، اجازه یافتند با پدر و مادر خود دیدار داشته باشند اما به زهرا موسوی اجازه ملاقات داده نشد بود.
این بار اما زهرا موسوی هم پس از چهار ماه امکان پیدا کرد همزمان با شروع سال نو با پدر و مادر خود ملاقات کند.
بر اساس این گزارش، در این دیدار حال عمومی مهندس موسوی و دکتر رهنورد و نیز روحیه آنان خوب بوده است.
این سومین نوروزی است که موسوی و رهنورد و کروبی در حصر خانگی می گذرانند. اما حاکمیت نه به محاکمه علنی و عادلانه رهبران جنبش سبز تن داده، نه حاضر شده حق قانونی و شرعی آنها برای آزادی از حبس خانگی غیرقانونی را بپذیرد و نه حتی ابتدایی ترین الزامات حقوقی و بدیهی ترین حقوق یک زندانی را درباره آنها مراعات می کند.

#Incarcerated Student Activist Zia Nabavi Transferred to an Undisclosed Location
Kaleme- March 6th 2013 – Incarcerated student activist and spokesperson for the Council to Defend the Right to Education Seyed Zia Nabavi who has been serving a 10 year prison sentence in exile at Karoon prison was reportedly taken to the Revolutionary Court in Ahvaz yesterday and later transferred to an undisclosed location.
The details regarding this sudden transfer remain unclear, though it is believed that Nabavi was probably taken from the Revolutionary Court in Ahvaz to the office of the Intelligence Ministry and later transferred to solitary confinement.
Nabavi’s belongings were reportedly searched and his hand written notes were confiscated at the time of his transfer. It is believed that Nabavi’s last letter in which he expressed criticism over the death sentence issued to a peaceful Arab activist by the name of Mohammad Ali Amouri may have resulted in his transfer to Ahvaz’s Revolutionary Court and his ultimate transfer to an undisclosed location.
Zia Nabavi was charged with affiliation with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MKO) and sentenced to 10 years in exile at Karoon prison. Nabavi and his family have consistently denied the charges and the state has failed to present any reliable evidence to support such claims.

به گزارش خبرنگار کلمه، سیدضیا نبوی، فعال دانشجویی و سخنگوی شورای دفاع از حق تحصیل که در زندان کارون اهواز در حبس است، دیروز به دادگاه انقلاب اهواز اعزام و از آنجا به مکان نامعلومی منتقل شد.
از دلایل انتقال وی به دادگاه خبر دقیقی در دست نیست ولی احتمال داده می شود وی از دادگاه به اداره اطلاعات شهر اهواز و سلول انفرادی منتقل شده باشد.
در جریان انتقال این فعال دانشجویی، کلیه وسایل او مورد بازرسی و جستجو قرار گرفته و تمام دستوشته های او نیز توسط ماموران ضبط شده است.
از آخرین نوشته های سیدضیا نبوی، نامه اخیر او در نقد حکم اعدام یکی از فعالان مسالمت جوی عرب به نام محمدعلی عموری است. نکته ای که احتمال داده می شود در انتقال امروز او به دادگاه انقلاب اهواز و اداره اطلاعات این شهر بی ارتباط نباشد.
سیدضیا نبوی، به اتهامی کذب با عنوان “ارتباط با مجاهدین خلق”، به ۱۰ سال حبس در تبعید محکوم شده است. اتهامی که وی و کلیه دوستان و نزدیکان او به دفعات رد کرده اند و هیچ سند قابل توجهی درباره این اتهام در پرونده این زندانی سیاسی وجود ندارد.
